Funding Opportunity

Mothers Against Drunk Driving and the CarMax Foundation will make mini-grants of up to $500 to support implementation of evidence-based prevention programs designed to address college drinking problems, both on campus and in surrounding communities.

The UMADD mini-grants will be awarded to projects that seek to change environmental factors (such as laws, policies, and enforcement) or student populations. Priority will go the programs that incorporate the recommendations on the UMADD website and partner with multiple groups.

No upfront money will be awarded; rather, applicants can request reimbursement for expenses associated with projects. Eligible applicants include UMADD student groups, other student groups, individual students, campus law enforcement, campus/community partnerships, and faculty. UMADD-related projects will receive priority.

For full details on the mini-grants program, see the UMADD website.
