Binge Drinking On College Campuses

As college students head back to school, many of them will be affected by a serious problem: binge drinking. Today, nearly half of all college students binge drink. This drinking leads to a number of problems on campuses, such as violence, rapes, sexually transmitted diseases and suicides. And even though it is illegal for anyone under 21 to consume alcohol, many minors are getting served anyway.

This is a pervasive problem not only for college communities but also for our nation's future leadership. This action kit provides tools that communities can use to combat binge drinking on college campuses including facts, resources, concrete steps to mobilize students and college officials, campus success stories, and a sample op-ed.
